First-person Love Letter to Indie Game Scene Releases Alpha Demo

AUSTIN, Texas — August 3, 2018 — Progrium Games has released an alpha demo previewing the first third of The Indie Game Legend 3D, scheduled for full release early 2019 for PC, Mac, and Linux. The game is an NES inspired "shooter-vania" bringing retro action-adventure gameplay into first-person, and features various indie scene personalities.

The alpha demo is available free for a limited time on itch.io:

Independent game developers from around the world have been kidnapped and it's up to you to save them. Explore a strange alien base loosely guided by your commander, a hairless guinea pig named Bean. Unlock power-ups and rescue the indies as you find out who's behind it all.

Originally an homage to the 8-bit cult classic "The Guardian Legend," The Indie Game Legend 3D has taken on influences from other famous titles to create a unique and nostalgic experience.

"This limited alpha is huge for our feedback process," said Jeff Lindsay, programmer and producer of the game. "The rest of our work is content, polish, and integrating feedback."

Progrium Games is developing The Indie Game Legend 3D in the open on Twitch, and invites anybody to watch and participate. More information can be found at http://tigl3d.com.
